The
LifeSTAR
program is a three-phase treatment program that begins with the "Getting
Started Workshop" and gently progresses through two additional phases of
treatment.
1. Call 702-451-2141 and indicate that you'd like to sign up for the LifeSTAR "Getting Started Workshop". 2. You will be asked to attend a preliminary assessment/screening appointment. Each participant/couple must receive a one-time assessment before starting the program. Assessment includes (1) an addiction screening, (2) time for you to ask specific questions about the program, and (3) final sign-up instructions and information about the workshop. 3. You will be signed up for the next "Getting Started Workshop". This workshop is six-weeks long and includes over 18 hours of education. The workshop is designed to educate individuals struggling with pornography addiction AND their spouses. Treatment is more successful when couples attend together and become educated about addiction and recovery. 4. Following the six-week workshop, participants can elect to continue with Phase II, which is small-group treatment to help the addicts learn ways to establish long-term recovery and help partners heal from the betrayal, loss, and anger they experience from their partner's addiction. Both addicts and partners divide up into separate groups of 5-7 people (men and women attend separate groups). Weekly Phase II groups last for 90 minutes. Phase II is typically completed in 4-7 months. 5. Following the completion of Phase II, participants can elect to progress to Phase III. This is a long-term commitment to establishing lasting recovery. The format is the same as Phase II.
